Dmitry Chepovetsky has over forty film and television credits to his name. He has also appeared on stage in regional theatre right across Canada including, Vancouver , Calgary , Manitoba , Toronto , Ottawa and Halifax ; he has attended Ryerson Theatre School and Second City in Toronto .

Dmitry has written two plays; one with Foursight Theatre in Wolver Hampton , England called Bloodline in which he also played the lead role "Papa"; and a one-man show, Fetch that premiered at the Men's Fest in 1995. Among his many roles in theatre he is most proud of his performance as "Picasso" in the North American premiere of Picasso at The Lapin Agile for the Manitoba Theatre Centre and the National Arts Centre; and for his role of "Maverick", in the critically acclaimed musical Top Gun: The Musical , for which he received his first Dora Award nomination for "Best Performance by a Male in a Musical."

He has appeared in several feature films including I'll Be Home For Christmas , Mission to Mars starring Gary Sinese and Tim Robbins, A Chain of Fools starring Jeff Goldblum and Selma Heyak, and Lucky Number Sleven with Bruce Willis. Most recently he completed shooting a feature film Man of the Year starring Robin Williams.

Dmitry's television credits include performances in the TV series Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye , Blue Murder , Cold Squad and Fox's number one series X-Files . He has also enjoyed working alongside some of Hollywood 's biggest leading men and ladies in mini-series, Master Spy: The Robert Hanssen Story starring William Hurt and Haven starring Natasha Richardson and in the feature film K-19: The Widowmaker starring Harrison Ford. Some of his other credits include Showtime's The Yeltsin Project directed by Roger Spottiswood, the popular children's series The Addams Family , Higher Ground and So Weird . Dmitry has also appeared in the TV movies, Atomic Train , Max Q , The Sentinel , Forget Me Not , and Serving in Silence .

Dmitry was born in L'Vor, Ukraine , and for the past ten years he has split his time between Vancouver and Toronto , where he currently lives. He enjoys photography, music, movies, theatre and writing. He currently stars as "Bob Melnikov" a biochemist working at NorBAC in Season II of ReGenesis .
