Born in Madrid , Spain to nuclear physicist parents, Conrad came to Canada at the age of three. Between the ages of 18 and 32 he was a professional kickboxer and champion. After an injury, acting became his life. In a short three-year span, his acting ability has been wowing casting directors all over North America .

Fourteen years as a kickboxer prepared Conrad for his many roles in most major action series shot in Canada from Street Time starring Rob Morrow for Showtime, Mutant X for Tribune Entertainment, Odyssey 5 starring Pete r Weller, and Tracker with Adrian Paul. Carlos has also co-starred with strong leading ladies including This is Wonderland starring Cara Pifko for CBC, Wild Card starring Joely Fisher for Lifetime, Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye for Pax Network and the internationally successful Relic Hunter with Tia Carrere. In the past year Conrad guest starred in the new television series Kojak starring Ving Rhames and Chazz Palminteri and in Kevin Hill starring Taye Diggs.

His feature films work includes roles in Steve n Spielberg's The Terminal starring Tom Hanks and Catherine Zeta Jones, The Sum of All Fears , starring Ben Affleck and Morgan Freeman, the critically acclaimed Levity directed by Ed Solomon, starring Billy Bob Thornton, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind directed by George Clooney with Sam Rockwell as "Chuck Barris" and in the soon to be released feature Eternal directed by Federico Sanchez who cast him in his first feature film, Slayers-Crusader Chronicles . Currently Conrad appears in the feature film 16 Blocks directed by Richard Donner starring Bruce Willis.

He is currently in pre-production on a feature film in Montreal that he will direct, star and that he has also written called Burning Mussolini . When Conrad is not acting, he enjoys teaching kickboxing and muay thai. He currently stars in Season two of ReGenesis as "Carlos Serrano" a geneticist and medical physician, a role that hits very close to home.
